    This video is giving me the fever!!! There's not many things more fun than looking for old bottles, is there? I'm not too far from your neck of the woods in Marianna, FL. Your "dog remedy" find reminded me of a couple of my more unique bottles I found down by the river. One was for mange and the other was for, believe it or not, gonorrhea! LOL Take care🙂

    Fossils I get, because I love them!! I don't get digging in the mud for bottles. Are they worth money? I'm new to your channel, so I'm just trying to understand. As a plant mama and a gardener I'm often deep in the soil myself, lol.

    • @WILDKYLE
      @WILDKYLE День назад

      They can occasionally be worth money, but that's not why I do it. I am specifically interested in bottles dating to pre-1920 because of the history. They are part of the human story and shed light on the way we lived over 100 years ago. Not only that, but the timeless design makes these bottles pieces of art, especially when we're finding old ceramic and stoneware pottery. You should watch my most recent video which is one where I found an absolutely incredible stoneware jug with the most beautiful glaze I have ever seen. It led me down a rabbit hole and I was able to find out where the jug came from and learn a bit about the people that made it and why they made these jugs. I think that video might help you understand why we find it so interesting. Also, thanks for taking the time to leave a comment and welcome to the channel! 😊

    Right @15:00 isn’t that another shark tooth right in the middle of the beach that they both missed while admiring that sweet Tiger-Shark’s tooth? I’ve got a small pickle jar full of these teeth I collected about 50 years ago when I lived in MD. It never gets old finding them. I was just on vacation at Myrtle Beach and found a small snaggletooth shark’s tooth. Only about 3mm long but beautiful nonetheless. Cheers 🥂

    @ 21:44 You could grind the broken edge down flat all the way around (attach a large piece of high grit sand paper to a piece of ply wood to sand it...or use a large belt sander). Then glue it to a board and hang it on the wall to put flowers or something in.

    It's sad that you filled two garbage bags with other peoples trash. While it appears that most of it was washed down from upstream, if people took care of themselves, there wouldn't be plastic pieces or TV's hanging from trees. When you go out into nature, you're not supposed to leave a footprint, it's called pack in and pack out, not pack in and toss. Thank you for being wonderful stewards to out earth and doing what the entitled refuse to do.
